London is one of the most famous cities in the world. For centuries it has captured the imagination of people the world over. The London Eye is one of the most stunning features of the London skyline. It’s the highest observation wheel in the world. The wheel has 32 capsules and each of them can hold 25 people. A 30 minute ride on the London Eye offers a breathtaking view of over 55 of the most famous landmarks in London. It’s an experience that should not be missed.
One of the most famous structures in the world is the Tower of London. For over 900 years it has served as everything from a royal palace, to a jewel house, arsenal and even a zoo. Not only can one see a medieval king’s bedchamber, one can see the Crown Jewels as well.
The Savoy Theatre, which opened in 1881, was the first theatre, and in fact the world’s first public building, entirely lit by electricity. Located in the City of Westminster, London, England in the Strand, this West End theatre was built on the site of the old Savoy Palace. It has featured the premieres of works by Gilbert and Sullivan, Noël Coward and many others.
